EASTER MORNING AT OHLC
On Easter morning we will be servine a festive, free-will offering breakfast from 9:00 to 10:00. We will also have an egg hunt for the little ones at 9:15. All are welcome!
MIDWEEK LENTEN SERVICES & SOUP SUPPERS
Midweek Lenten services and soup suppers are held on Wednesdays at Noon and 6pm. Sign-up sheets for soup, bread, set-up, and clean-up are posted in the narthex. Your help is appreciated!
The theme for our midweek services is “Blessings from the Cross.” We are looking at the last words of Christ from the cross and the blessings they bestow upon us.
Make your attendance at each of these midweek Lenten services one of our Lenten disciplines, that you might come to a deeper understanding and appreciation for the blessings Christ bestows upon you from his Holy Cross.
March 1: Pretzels & Prayer
Join us for our Lenten-themed youth and family gathering on Sunday, March 1. We will make pretzels, learn and practice different ways to pray, and learn about the season of Lent. In addition to the pretzels, we will also have chiil. Our event begins at 4pm and will finish up by 6pm. All are welcome!
Feb 18: Ash Wednesday Services
Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on February 18. We will have services at Noon and 7pm, including the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Adult Bible study is held in the church library on Sunday mornings from 9:15am to 10:15am. We are currently studying the Gospel of John. All are welcome!
JAN. 18: SEMI-ANNUAL MEETING
Mark your calendars for January 18 at 9:15 as we convene our semi-annual meeting! All voting members of Oak Harbor Lutheran are encouraged to attend as we consider our congregational budget for 2026, conduct an election, and present the Servus Dei award. An agenda for the meeting will be made available by Sunday, January 11.
We will also be seeking candidates for the following positions for election at the meeting:
- Member (1) of our Endowment Committee
- Delegates (2) to Josephine Home, our Lutheran nursing home/care facility in Stanwood
- Delegates (2) to Lutherwood, our camp and retreat center in Bellingham
