SPIN Cafe

SPiN Cafe

Oak Harbor Lutheran Church is proud to be a supporting congregation for SPiN Cafe. (Serving People In Need)

SPiN Cafe serves people experiencing homelessness on Whidbey Island, as well as community members who might have a place to stay, but nowhere to call home and those whose budget limits are helped by meals and options at SPiN.

SPiN Cafe is currently serving sack meals at Ramaley Park in Oak Harbor at noon every day due to Covid restrictions and has opened a SPiN Cafe Day Shelter at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Oak Harbor 5 days a week. Sack meals and internet access are offered. SPiN provides referrals to local community resources for their guests. Laundry Service is offered at Dutch Maid Laundry on Saturdays.

Some of SPiN’s guests live in stable housing and work, yet struggle to put food on the table and meet their family’s nutritional needs. SPiN serves an average of 25-30 guests at each meal. In addition to our meal services, SPiN provides access to laundry services, housing referrals, and information on local services and shelter.
