Our regular Sunday worship services are held at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church and Sunday evening at St. Mary’s Church in Coupeville at 207 North Main Street.
At Oak Harbor Lutheran Church, Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at each service.
Oak Harbor Lutheran Church practices open communion. All baptized Christians who wish to receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ given in, with, and under the bread and wine are welcome to participate in the Lord’s Supper.
In keeping with our denominational policy (“The Use of the Means of Grace,” ELCA, 1997) Holy Communion is available to children of any age – usually beginning when the elements can be handled with confidence and respect. Classes on Holy Communion are offered for young children twice per year. All communing children are strongly encouraged to attend.
Mindful of the variety of views on the appropriate age for first Communion, a variety of practices are observed and respected in accordance with the wishes of the parents.
If you have any questions, please consult with one of our pastors.
