CARING MINISTRIES AT OAK HARBOR LUTHERAN CHURCH
STEPHEN MINISTRY
Oak Harbor Lutheran Church is a Stephen Ministry congregation, providing compassionate care during any time of need.
Stephen Ministers are regular church members from various walks of life who have undergone extensive training in how to accompany people living through difficult times, including sickness, grief, divorce, unemployment, an empty nest, military deployment, loneliness, aging, and more. They provide a listening ear with compassionate care and utmost confidentiality. They can meet you for coffee, at the church, in your home, wherever you are comfortable and is mutually agreeable.
If you would like to be contacted by one of our trained care-givers, indicate so on the Connection Card in your Sunday worship bulletin, or by calling the church office at 679-1561.

PRAYER CHAIN
We have a team of prayer warriors who pray for those who make their requests known through our Connection Card at worship or who let us know via email.
If you have a prayer concern and/or would like to join our prayer chain email list, email Verna Morgan at: islandmusicworks@gmail.com
SUPPORT FOR MILITARY FAMILIES
We have many military families and retired veterans in our congregation, and so we understand the unique stresses and sacrifices faced by those who serve and their families. We strive to provide care and support for these individuals and families, caring for military spouses and kids during deployments or other challenging times with practical as well as spiritual needs. We are also happy to pray for those serving deployments overseas. It isn’t a program as such; it is, rather, part of the culture of our congregation. We see you, we honor you, and we want to be there for you in whatever way we can.
